About Me

My photo
i know what's right and what's wrong. i am cheerful and out going. it's hard for me to find the one that i want, but once i find the right person, i won't be able to fall in love again for a long time.

DO WHAT YOU LOVE

"Do what you love and you'll be good at it. Sounds simple enough. But what if you love reading comics, playing video games and watching korean dramas until your eyes pop out? Is it possible to make a career out of such things? What's the alternative? Spend all your time wishing you were brave enough to take that leap? Don't let fear stop you from doing what you love. Because ultimately, it's about being true to yourself."

Latest updates - my girl

~Bismillah~

Hi, love! Sorry for not updating my blog for so long. I'm quite busy since I've been working as a teacher in a private school. I hope you don't mind. Anyways, I'm hoping that all of you are doing well. Oh and by the way, hope it's not too late for me to wish you, RAMADHAN MUBARAK! May Ramadhan this year is going to be a better Ramadhan than last year. Insya-Allah. Everyone is praying for the best.

Well, in this post, I'll not be writing so much. But yup, this entry is going to be put under the journal section. So, everything written here is basically going to be about myself, my life updates, specifically while becoming a teacher.

I'm just gonna tell you a bit about my students. Buah hati pengarang jantungku. Hehe.

To start with, there is a student of mine, a girl and she's now in her primary 3. All for this while, I thought she understood my teachings, especially on grammar and truthfully she didn't understand every single thing I taught her in the class. How sad is that? Sedih, kan? Coz every time I asked her whether or not she had any questions to ask me, all she did was shaking her head from left to right. Until our next meeting, as usual, it's been my routine to ask the students, "Do you understand, girls?" and she was among those who answered, "Yesssss!" confidently, although she wasn't actually clear about my elaboration on the grammar lesson that I was teaching them at that particular time.

I was so sick with this kind of attitude of my students. I'm also not sure, whether they were too malu to ask questions simply because they thought that they would be laughed by their friends  or maybe they didn't want others to view them as 'not smart' and that could be the reason why she never asked me any questions regarding the matter in the class. However, I always expected that she could ask me after class about anything that she was not clear about and I always tell my students that my 'door' is always open for them and they're welcome to see me in my class anytime they want (as long as they are freelah), to talk to me about many things or to even tell me that they didn't actually understand a single bit of my teaching. Hee... seriously geram gila masa tu. But, what to do, a teacher needs to act cool. If not, the students will never trust us that we can actually make them understand our lesson.

So, what I'm doing now is that I'm struggling so much, I'm working hard to make sure that she will get the best result in all tests, including the final exam, which will be ready to get them by the end of this year. I give her many exercises as her parents requested and try to create a great bondage between us. I really want her to enjoy my English class and I struggle to make her fall in love with the subject, thinking that this subject is the easiest subject to score. Because to me, it's nearly impossible for one to score the subject that she really hates or that she doesn't like it so much.Alhamdulillah, now I can see some sort of her improvements in English class. She can understand my teaching now, better than last time. To me, it's a great success to both of us. Not just me. Please don't get me wrong.

I think, that's pretty much it about my female student. In my next post, I'll be writing about my male student plak.

Insya-Allah, hopefully I'll have some time like you to update more about myself as long as I'm still working here.

Jana.
Sleep early okay!
Don't forget to take your sahur.

Happy fasting dearies <3 p="">

Kelmarin, semalam dan hari ini

~Bismillah~

Cerita tentang iftar. Tahun ni, tak tahu kenapa rasa macam semua orang menjauh.

Tapi... kalau dah namanya ohana, masalah besar macam mana pun mesti tak lama gaduhnya. Beberapa hari lepas tu baiklah. Mana tak baiknya. Darah yang sama mengalir dalam badan. Asal usul pun sama.

Macam tahun lepas. Mungkin masanya belum tiba lagi kot sebab kita masih berada di awal Ramadhan. Tak apa. We still got a lot of time to iftar together.

Kelmarin, Kak Long, Abang Long dan Kamil datang iftar di rumah. Kalau Kak Long datang rumah, maka dialah tukang masaknya. Kak Long kalau bab-bab memasak ni, dialah nombor satu dalam keluarga. Sekali dia mula masak, saya turun je, "Long, nak tolong apa lagi ni?" Kak Long cakap, "Leehhhh... dah siap dah semua." "Eh, kejapnya?" Kak Long pun, "Hmmm..." Kak Long memang cekap memasak. Nak kata professional cook in the family, haa... Kak Longlah orangnya. Dah tak ada orang lain dah yang dapat beat Kak Long. Hehe. Sayang Kak Long.

Kalau masa tengah malam, dekat Mesir siang. So, bila dia balik Malaysia, dia jadi aktif waktu tengah malam dan dia tidur waktu siang. Dah jadi macam burung hantu pulak. Disebabkan dia tak boleh tidur, dia pun ajak saya tengok Running Man dengan dia dekat bawah. Aduihh... dahlah saya ni bukan peminat Running Man tapi demi dia, saya layankan jugak. Memang dia balik terawikh tu, kira marathon midnight movies dengan dia malam tu. Lepas habis tengok Running Man, kami layang Final Destination 5. Punyalah terjerit-jerit bila tengok kematian yang mengerikan. Hehe. Macam apa je. Lepas tu, dia paksa pulak saya sambung tengk cerita Korea tajuk Ghost tapi ni bukan cerita hantu ya. Cerita ni best ala ala Iris (Korea jugak). Cerita Ghost ni pasal hackers yang hebat macam mana dia boleh hack orang sampai melibatkan kes pembunuhan. Nak katanya, it's not a love story which is to me is much more interesting and entertaining sebab ia berkaitan dengan isu semasa. Masa tengok Ghost, saya terlelap banyak kali. Tapi setiap kali terlelap tu, Kak Uda mesti, "Hah! Adik, janganlah tidur! Adik kena tengok ni. Kalau tak, adik takkan faham!" Ya Allah, sampai macam tu sekali dia torture saya malam tu. Last-last, tak tidur sampai mak bangun untuk masak sahur. Hehe. Kak Uda, Kak Uda. Even dah kahwin tapi Kak Uda masih Kak Uda Imah yang cool dan macho! Sayang dia!

Hehe. Bak kata mak, "Mesti happening makan atas lantai!" Sebab rumah kami tak ada perabot. Cushion hantar kedai sebab tukar baju baru. Nak raya kan. Sofa pun nak baju raya jugak. Hehehe... Kak Arsyi (isteri Angah) buat puding roti. Sedap sangat! Rasa puding tu just nice. Bak kata Kak Arsyi, "Maklumlah... puding orang berpuasa..." tapi sedap giler! Kak Arsyi memang terer bab-bab masak Western cuisine. Not badlah. Abang Nwar dan Kak Aishah tolong belikan air teh bunga. Berbungkus-bungkus. Betullah kata mak.

Semoga Allah memberkati ohana saya.

"Ohana..."
"What?"
"Hey, get away from her."
"No, what did you say?!"
"Ohana means family. Family means nobody..."
"... nobody gets left behind."

companions

~Bismillah~

Yesterday... fuhh! Alhamdulillah...done with World Literature exam. One of the killing subjects I'm taking this semester. Should I elaborate more about the exam? Err... sangat sadis sebenarnya because I answered the first question wrongly! Again... careless mistake. I didn't read the instructions properly. Oh my Lord! I've lost 12 marks, terbang melayang macam tu je! Oh no!!!! What should I do, man? I told Kak Mei, "Kak Mei, I had mistakenly asnwered question number one! For the second part of question one, tak perasan langsung dia cakap except Tagore's. Macam mana, Kak Mei?" And Kak Mei was stunt, "Hei, dah bold dah ni!!! Ish! Ish! Ishi! (geram)." Oh no.... suddenly I felt like my heart stopped beating and the time stopped running. Hmmm.... what to do. My fault! Seriously. And when I told Kak Yusfa about my carelesness answering the first question, "Alah Zmah... Kak Mei mesti bagi punya markah. Dia takkan tak bagi langsung. Sebab dia lecturer kita. Dia dah bersama dengan kita sejak dari awal sem. Dia mesti faham punya. Lagipun, akak tak rasa jawapan Zmah semua tu salah. Ada yang betul tu dan ada kaitan dengan soalan." I hope Kak Yusfa was right. But what ever it is... it had passed and now I just need to focus on my next papers and tawakkal dekat Allah banyak-banyak! In sha Allah... Allah is full with mercy and Kak Mei will tolerate giving me good grades. Tapi macam manapun, like I always say to Kak Yusfa, "Ini semua exam dunia! Rileklah!" My principle is... do it for Allah and not for anything else.  Of course everyone wants to succeed and pass the exams with flying colours and no doubt I want to be one of those who'll grad with a scroll in my hand but.... if we do it for grades, dean's list or what so ever and not for Allah, to gain His blessings, it will be nothing! Zero! It will be useless and has no values at all! As long as we had struggled and put our efforts on it, just trust that even if we fail or succeed, we will satisfy for what ever Allah had given us in the end. In sha Allah, baek punya! (tetiba)

========================================

Yesterday night.... bagi menghilangkan segala tensi yang semakin memakan diri menjawab kertas pereksa yang menyeksakan tu, Kak Yusfa, En and I went to JJ Wangsa Maju. Our port. We went there just because we wanted to release our stress of answering the killing exams. So, our first destination was the food court. We bought sushi from the market and ate them there, at the food court. Sodap!!!

Sushi. Drinks. Our dinner meal for yesterday night. The three of us just love sushi very much! And once En said, "En teringin nak makan sushi pakai chopstick tapi tak reti." "Alah En... senang je. Bagi Zmahlah kan, kalau chopstick tebal macam dekat KLCC tu lagi susah nak guna. Dia kalau lagi nipis chopstick tu, lagi senang nak kepit makanan." "Ye ke, Zmah?" En looked very curious and interested. And I was like, "Betullll!!!!" Hehe. Full of enthusiasm.

Kak Yusfa, En... they both are my best companions as long as I've been studying in IIUM and interestingly, all three of us got to know each other well since we all had joined in QYC. Kak Yusfa said, "Bagi akak kan, QYC ni memang satu anugerahlah buat akak sebab macam-macam benda akak belajar tentang erti kehidupan dalam QYC ni." And if you ask me, this is what I'll say about how I feel as long as I've been joining QYC so far, "Bagi Zmah pulak Zmah rasa QYC ni hadiah Allah buat Zmah bukan sebab kelab ni best. Kalau yang tu memang no doubtlah! Tapi... sebab dalam QYC lah Allah temukan Zmah dengan orang-orang yang baik yang Zmah boleh jadikan sahabat. Sahabat-sahabat yang Zmah jumpa dan menerima diri Zmah sebagai Zmah semua ada dalam QYC. Antaranya.... Kak Yusfa dan En sendiri..." Terharu tak?? Hehe.

Friends... we can find anywhere but good companions are rare to find. Only those who are selected by Allah deserve to be our companions until we end the journey. As for my companions, susah senang mereka memang akan ada bersama. Baik buruk saya mereka akan terima dengan rela hati. That's why I rather call them best companions than best friends. Just like Abu Bakar and Umar as our beloved Prophet's companions, Kak Yusfa and En Siyah Muhammad play the same role in my life.

I love them both for Allah.

Incidents

~Bismillah~

Today, was  my first paper. EAW. Oh man! It was soooooooooo easyyyyyyy until I can barely describe how eaaaaaaasy it was! Seriously (this is so pretending!). Alhamdulillah, I'm glad I had done with my first paper. The questions were okay but I don't think I did my best for the last part coz I didn't really understand what the question really wanted me to do. So, I just "bismillahirrahmanirrahim... puuhh!!!" and my right hand got the blue pen and continued writing. In my heart, "Tawakkal je Zmah!" So, yeah, I did it. Smile.

#Incident 1

We started our exam quite late. At about 3.05 pm. Actually, we were supposed to start at 3 pm sharp but the instructor who were giving instructions before the examination started just couldn't stay away from the mic. Oh, my gosh, she just love the mic so much. To prove, she babbled so much before we could start answering the exam questions. She had wasted our time! So she merely said, "... seems we started at 3.05, so you will stop answering at 5.05" and I was like, "What the???? Dia yang cakap banyak-banyak sampai drag masa lepas tu tak pasal-pasal kita pulak yang kena keluar dewan lambat. Aisshh, jija!" What to do. I'm not sure what nationality she holds but better not Malaysian. It would be a shame not because I hate her or what. I just can't agree with people who are not punctual and like to drag other people's time. Seriously, I'm allergic with these kind of people. (You better watch out!) In the middle of examination, she went to the mic again and made a few announcements until we (me, especially) started to feel distracted by her voice. As a result, I lost my focus answering the questions. Ada je benda dia nak buat announcement. Memang tak boleh lepas dari mic tu. A few minutes later, ada lagi announcement. Oh my Allah! Patience Zmah... patience... (fuhh!) Even when we had finished answering all questions, she asked us to wait for a few minutes. Err... let me get this straight... not for a few minutes but for about almost half an hour we waited in the hall and did nothing! Aiyyooo.... sabo... sabo...

#Incident 2

While asyik answering the exam questions, suddenly someone's hand phone was ringing at the back of the main hall and it rang and rang and rang and rang, singing a song which was quite unfamiliar to me (never heard that song before). When it was silent, I was like, "alhamdulillah... bolehlah aku fokus." Suddenly, out of nowhere, it rang again and again and again and again.................... until I started to feel irritated by that song. Luckily I wasn't the only one who was annoyed by the song. My 'neighbors' also felt the same way. If I could, I would like to get up from my seat and go search for the phone, took it and.................. PANG! (macam bunyi penampar je) until the phone broke into pieces (oh, that's the wicked side of Wan Hazimah. lol) Fortunately such thing didn't happen in the hall. Tak pasal-pasal aku yang kena tendang keluar dari dewan exam. But the strange thing was the invigilators didn't bother about the phone ringing. They just didn't care the ringtone of the phone interrupting us and broke our focus while answering the questions. Oh, Allah, what's happening to the world! Again.... Zmah... be patient.... everything will go back to normal and the hand phone will shut its speaker up soon and thank Allah, it did. Pheww! Then and only then, I could stay focus towards the end of the exam period.

Truthfully, this is the first time I had ever experienced such incidents in my whole life while taking a big examination in a big hall like this. Did they purposely happen because I will be graduating soon? Yelah, it's like He wants me to remember a few incidents or events that are meaningful (though not so meaningful) so that I can remember it forever in my life before I leave IIUM soon? (tiba-tiba sebak)

Maybe.

:P

p.s. Let's be ready for the next paper, which is the day after tomorrow-World Literature. Pray for me luvs!

Lega

~Bismillah~

Alhamdulillah... I got my EAW and Error Analysis registered successfully, last week. Everything is settled now. Nothing to worry about me graduating this semester. But, the funny part is that when I just realized that my schedule isn't as packed as I thought. I got only one class every Monday and Wednesday and four classes every Tuesday and Thursday. It's "WOW!" But still I got some gaps to rest myself before I've got  to get ready for the next class, which is to me, still alhamdulillah... Masih ada kelapangan waktu untuk breathe. And tell you what, I had passed my EAW presentation, which is also alhamdulillah... I've nothing to nervous about now. Fuhh! So, the next problem that I need to solve now is how to get all the books requested by Kak Mei for our World Literature class. Last time, I asked from Na. The books. But she had already arrived in KL and the books, she left them in her kampung. So, there's no way I could get them within this week. But, Na still wants to help me out. She suggested that she would ask her parents to pos lajukan all those books to me to soon as possible. Alhamdulillah... I'm so grateful to Allah for giving me such a caring friend like Na. Selesai satu masalah, but I still need to wait patiently. But, hopefully it won't take too long for the books to reach me as Kak Mei had already assigned us a homework; Google search about the very first author that we're going to learn about in the next class; Rabindranath Tagore and Mahatma Gandhi. Interesting, isn't it? And she is also going to assign us a task for our presentation by next week, so that we can make an early preparation for it. That means, there are lots of readings need to be done starting from now. Thus, I really need the books ASAP.

Let's struggle, everyone! New semester, new beginning, new spirit.
Ganbatte!

Medical result

~Bismillah~

I apologise for the late updates about my medical result. But before I start writing, how are you doing? Hope everythings's in a good order. Aha! What about your holidays? What have been up to? Have your started working or maybe joining some exciting programs organized by any clubs or societies at your campus? What ever it is, may Allah ease things for you.

Okay. In sha Allah, now I want to share a little bit about my medical result which I had just taken from the clinic yesterday. Actually, I was a bit disappointed because I couldn't get the chance to consult with Dr Siti Masitah because one of the nurses said she wasn't in. So, like it or not, I got to consult with other doctor instead. At first, I requested a female doctor but maybe the nurses didn't hear me so she asked me to see a male doctor named, Dr Soep. Bolehlah... Dr Soep pun Dr Soeplah... "Lagipun, nak discuss result je kan?" The nurse asked and I just nodded. Okay, Zmah pasrah.

I knocked on the door labelled there "Consultation Room A" and walked inside. I took my seat next to him and we discussed about my ECG test and also my blood test result.

Still remember why I did the blood test? It was to check my hormone. In other words, to detect whether or not I got infected by thyroid. I felt relieve when the doctor said, "Your blood test result showed that you're not infected by thyroid and your heartbeat is also normal."

Alhamdulillah... that means... I'm healthy! But... I'm still confused. If I didn't get infected by any disease, why is my heart beats so strongly? Then the doctor said, "It's becaue you're too skinny. So when your heart beats, it's like it beats your bone... (something like that) because there's no fat covers your organ... (something like this also)..."

Oooo.... now I understood. So the solution is.... "You need to eat more to gain your weight." Dr Soep smiled. "Doctor, I eat a lot but my weight is still the same. "Haa... takpelah. Baguslah tu."

So, the conclusion is, I'm a healthy woman! It's just that I need to put on some weight in order to be healthier. So, now I've nothing to worry about and can start concentrate on my projects.

Jadi... jom join Zmah, kita mula makan banyak-banyak!!!!!!!! Hehe.

Take care everyone!

Death

~Bismillah~

Just dropping by to say hello, how do you do? Hope everyone's doing well. Yeah, it's just me who's not so well today. Maybe because I'm too tired. Walking here and there. Non-stop. I think I should walk less and do more. Do what? Do lots of works. Any kinds of works that can make my heart (physically and spiritually) becomes healthier again.

Thump... thump... my not-so-normal heart's beating again... thankfully it still beats and pumping my blood throughout my whole body.

Alhamdulillah... I'm still alive. To be frank, I still got I more exam paper left (which will be tomorrow morning!) to struggle so hard because there're still many things that I still need to cover. May Allah ease things for me. I'm still struggling. Struggling to stay calm and healthy as I always do everyday.

Aha! Baru teringat!

Speaking of heart beating, I had just been told by Emak that there was an IIUM student, staying in Mahallah Salehuddin had just passed away this morning. He went at 5 am today. Innalillahi wainna ilaihi raajiuun. From Him we came and to Him we shall return. The reason? Heart attack! That was really shocking!  I pity his family for what had happened to him. Who could expect how and when he would leave us? In addition,  what was more surprising is that he left us because of a heart attack. How does it scare you? Oh, forgive me. Let me correct myself. How does it scare me? It really scares me. So much, especially after knowing the reason for his death was due to a heart attack. So unexpected! Why does it scare me so much? Yup, definitely! It simply because I'm having the same problem with my heart. I've no idea what's really wrong with my heart, even the doctor couldn't tell and so the medical check up result. But to Him I shall submit myself. Only He knows what's really happening to me. But I've never stopped hoping that I'm in a well condition and shall continue my healthy life again, just like everyone else.

But... something's still bothering me... the heart attack. What if I'm fated to leave this world in the same condition as the dead person? Hopefully, not. The only thing that I hope is that I would leave this world as a syahid but if Allah doesn't will me to die that way, then I hope that I would die in my mother's arms. But if Allah still doesn't will to take me such a way, then I hope I would leave this world peacefully in husnul khatimah. I'm really hoping for it and I'm sure everyone is hoping for it too, right? (smile)

As a reminder for all of us, let's take a good look at this verse, when Allah says:

3:185

"Every soul will taste death, and you will only be given your [full] compensation on the Day of Resurrection. So he who is drawn away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise has attained [his desire]. And what is the life of this world except the enjoyment of delusion." (3:185)

Yup. Every living thing Allah has created shall taste death. Hmm... how will it be? My death. How does it taste like? How does it feel like? Will my ending be a happy ending or a sad ending? No one knows, but Him. What ever it is, may it be a death with khusnul khatimah never be with su'ul khatimah.

And one more thing for sure. As long as we're breathing, we still got more time to repent to Him. Jom buat taubat nasuha. Even so, we need to make our sincere repentance towards Allah everyday and every night so long we can breathe because we never know when shall we return to Him.

So, jomlah kita kembali kepada-Nya. Kembali ke jalan-Nya yang lurus. I leave you with a video on zikr terapi by Hafiz Hamidun. By reciting istighfar, it can remind us of all our sins and that's the simplest thing (that I know for sure) we can do to lessen our sins and ask Allah to purify our hearts with all the black dots.

Moh le kite. Beristighfar kepada-Nya...

Take care.

p.s.: I've no idea why I'm thinking of death lately. Everyday I'll hear upon someone's death. Is He giving me some sort of hint? I know I shall die someday but thinking of death somehow makes me nervous and make my tears streaming down from my eyes without I intend to. Semoga Allah memberi ketenangan pada hati ini. Ya Allah, sejujurnya aku takut menghadapi saat itu :'(

U P S E T

~Bismillah~

How do you feel when you really want to get something, but you didn't?
How do you feel when you really want to do your best in something, but you couldn't?
How do you feel when you know that you have really tried your hard to be the best in everything,
but you hadn't?

It hurts.
It really hurts and I'm feeling it right now.

Today was my first paper of sem 1, 2012/2013 final exam and it was like the sky is falling down and hitting my head. The world has become so dark until I can barely see things around me. Everything seems to be nothing for me anymore.

Why?
Why I always can't do my best in every subject that I love the most?

In this case, I think I failed. I failed to answer the last question in my Semantics exam terribly. I really feel that I'm the most stupid English major student in the whole wide world. I'm stupid for not knowing the meaning of a simple word like "halt" in which all BENL students are supposed to know. I feel so embarrassed; feeling embarrassed of own stupidity. You know what I wrote in my paper, the meaning of "halt?" I wrote there, "endanger." Astaghfirullah... how do you think how stupid I was. O Allah, why am I so stupid???

(I'm not stupid, it's just that I'm still not really in the learning process yet)

I had lost 16 marks so easily due to my lack of knowledge of English vocabulary. I realise that my mom has always advised me to read English books more often but I was so stubborn. I keep on reading Malay novels instead and alas that was the result of my stubbornness. (I'm so sorry mak for not listening to your advice)

I walked out from the exam hall with a gloomy face until no one would want to greet. I responded to Kak Yusfa's SMS asking how was my first paper. After telling her the truth, I said I wanted to go to the tasik. But then I realised that I had no strength to walk there all by myself under the bright Mr. Sunshine, then I just decided to rest my mind in the masjid instead. As I reached there, I laid down as I usually do. Resting my mind and calming down my heart. There, I found peace... yup... I could feel it, deep down inside... spiritually, Allah and I communicated through our telepathy.

I poured my heart out to Him and He's all hearing. I was sad. My tears streaming down my cheeks without stopping and no one there wiping them for me but Him. Only Him. I cried and cried and cried as often as I wanted to and He never stopped me. I felt so peaceful.

I know I was being tested by Allah. I know there was hikmah behind this test. But I could see it after I finished my paper. When I poured out everything to Him, then I started to realize that my failure of answering the last question was first; due to my stubbornness of  listening to my mother's advice, and second; because of my own mistake for not taking the course seriously. To me, I failed to be a good BENL student who should by now have mastered the language, in terms of writing it properly and speaking it fluently like my other colleagues. Seriously, suddenly I feel like I shouldn't be doing this course in the first place but why did Allah fate me to be in this course (be a BENL student), there must be a reason. Tap! Something knocked my head. I was awake! Yup! There was it! Allah wanted me to learn. Learn what? Learn from my own mistake.

Do you know that when this kind of phenomena happens to us, it doesn't really mean that we had failed? It's just that we haven't succeed just yet. Why did Allah fate it to be that way is because He still wants us to struggle more because when we know we didn't make it to reach our goal, we'll not stop struggling until we do and most importantly, He wants us to renew our niyyah-struggle for the sake of Him, not blindly for passing the exam only. Hmm... and this among the precious lesson I had learned from His tarbiyyah today. Alhamdulillah.

So, kawan-kawan, before I stop, let me share with some pieces of my thoughts.

"Let by gone be by gone."
"There's no such thing as we fail, it's just that we still haven't succeed yet."
"Struggle until our our last breath."
"Berjihad adalah kerana Allah, bukan kerana selain-Nya."

These simple thoughts of mine I'm sharing them with you because this is how I become motivated each day after I had been tested by Him with the unimaginable tests. When I thought back, it's good to be tested sometimes because Allah had clearly mentioned in His Love Letter:

"Do they think that they will be left alone on saying, 'We believe and that they will not be tested'? For sure we will test them as we have tested those who came before them, to show(them) the truthful of the honest and the liars in their falsehood." (Quran 29:2-3)

We will be tested! We will be tested and itu adalah suatu kepastian!

*wide grin*

ECG and blood test

~Bismillah~

Let's start our day by saying Alhamdulillah... (Alhamdulillahx3)

We should be grateful to Allah for lending us this "life" again today. There're so many things to be amended. Ourselves, our deeds, our fates...

Without Allah, we are nothing. Just a piece of dust wandering around looking for a body to stay.
Alhamdulillah, for being alive!

To start the day, I would like to share what I had gone through yesterday.

Yesterday morning, I went to see Dr. Masitah, the one whom I had consulted with regarding my heart problem. This was the second time I met her, which I supposedly met her last Monday but I didn't have the guts to do so. I went to the clinic at about 9 am and oh my Allah, I had to wait for about 2 hours! How irritating is that! It really tested my patience. I recited istighfar many times silently. It's a common thing for many people to get sick during the exam period. This is when MR STRESS attacks everyone! (sigh)

When my turn arrived, I walked towards the consultation room and sat down on the chair next to the table where the doctor was sitting. I told Dr. Masitah that the pills that she gave me last week weren't effective. The state of my heart is still the same until now. It didn't give any effects at all. So, Dr. Masitah asked me to do ECG to test my heart rate and make a blood test to test my hormone, more specifically she actually wanted to see whether I got affected by thyroid or not. Because according to her, people at my age usually got attacked by thyroid and due to my symptoms it's just like I'd be one of those who could probably got affected by it.

The nurse asked me to make the blood test first. Blood test again??? This was the third time I made the blood test but previously the results showed nothing serious. I didn't get affected by any diseases... which is alhamdulillah for me to know that I'm still healthy. But tell you what, I feel bored making the same blood test again and again but in the end, I know nothing serious is shown on the paper. It's not that I'm asking for it (naudhubillah) it's just that... just imagine... my blood had being taken for about three times to be tested. No wonder I've become weaker and weaker each day. My blood in my body had become lesser and lesser... I wonder if there could be somebody who wishes to donate his blood to me. (lol)

Back to my story.

The result of the blood test will be ready by next Monday but the doctor recommended me to go and see her the blood test review right after I finished my last paper, which would be on the 14th.

After my blood had be taken and kept inside the test tube, I went back to the clinic to make the ECG test. While waiting for the nurse setting up the equipment needed for the test, I lied down on the patient bed as requested calmly but thinking what was really wrong with my heart. Before this Dr. Nurul said I was just fine although I had made the blood test twice and the ECG once but the results said that I'm healthy woman!  But... why is it that my heartbeat becomes slow and slow but the beat sounds so strong until it hurts my chest? Weird... but Dr. Nurul again said most probably my heart was influenced by stress which I thought it  would 100% be the case.

As all the the wires had been pasted on my body, then the nurses began the test. The result was printed immediately after the test had been done. I went back to Dr. Masitah. As she examined the statistics of my heart rate, she said that my heart beat was not uniform. Sometimes it's okay sometimes it's not and to my interpretation my heartbeat is not normal anymore.

However, the doctor could not give her final words as long as the blood test result hasn't yet been ready by next week. So all  she advised was that I needed to finish all my exam papers first. After that I shall go and see her to review the blood test result. If there's something serious with my heart or in other words if I got affected by the thyroid disease, the doctor would write a letter for me to be hospitalized. I shall meet the specialist as soon as possible.

For now, I just need to concentrate on my exams which will start tomorrow and keep on praying to Allah may everything will be okay. In sha Allah.

Please pray for me :)

Ice skating with Husna :)

Bismillah.

Today is Saturday. Yesterday was Friday and you know what, yesterday was the most special day ever for both me and Husna. Remember Husna? She's my best friend which I have known since we were in CFS, IIUM, Nilai. Just so you know, she's the first person I had known and be friend with during the first time I set my foot in CFS. Amzing, isn't it? We have been best friends for about more or less five years (I think) and  we are glad that we are still best friends now. Hopefully, Allah will bless our friendship forever until we meet again in Jannah.

Speaking about Husna, there's one story I would like to share with you guys here and the story is about the day we spent together "on the ice," which was yesterday. Ice??? Is there any ice in Malaysia? Well, of course! The only place which got an ice court in Malaysia is Sunway Pyramid.

Sunway Pyramid, here we come!

We had our breakfast at IIUM first. We just had roti canai for our breakfast and some hot drinks. Alhamdulillah, thanks to Him for this rezeki. I wonder what do my poor brothers and sisters outside have for breakfast. Praise be to Allah for giving us the best food to eat.

About 10.30 am, we departed from IIUM. We went to Terminal Putra by car and it was my decision actually. I decide to drive my car and park it at Terminal Putra because I thought that it will be easier for us to get back to IIUM on time. If let's say we went there by Rapid KL bus, I wonder at what time we eould arrive IIUM after we completed our outing. Hmm. Alhamdulillah, I made a wise decision. So, we took the LRT to go straight to Sunway Pyramid. Before this, I never thought that there is a Rapid KL bus which goes straight away to Sunway Pyramid. Because for all this while, whenever I want to go there, I would first take the LRT PUTRA from Gombak station to KL Sentral. Then, I have to switch to KTM Komuter until Subang Jaya station. There, I need to ride on a mini bus straight to Sunway Pyramid. So, it will be a tiring journey for me. But then, I discovered a new way which is the easiest way for me to get there without even tiring myself, which is by taking LRT PUTRA from Gombak station until Kelana Jaya station and take a bus which could take me directly to Sunway Pyramid. So, that's how Husna and I got to Sunway Pyramid, by both LRT PUTRA as well as Rapid KL bus. But, it took quite some times to reach there. We spent about an hour for just staying in the LRT and another few minutes to arrive at Sunway Pyramid. Whatever it is we enjoyed our journey very much! We're back Sunway Pyramid!

Once upon a time in Sunway Pyramid...

When he had arrived at Sunway Pyramid, we didn't immediately skate on the ice, but we took a short tour in the building for a few minutes. After that, we had our lunch together at KFC. We ordered dinner plate set and we shared. I said to Husna, "If only Aishah sees us sharing our meals and eating together she might say, 'Husna dengan Zimah ni asyik makan berdua je!'" And we laughed. The reason why I shared meal with Husna is that I didn't feel like eating at that time. Maybe it was because of my impatientness of wanting skate on the ice again after not skating for quite a very long time. I felt so enthusiastic to skate again for the third time with my besfriend, Husna, until it made my tummy to not feel hunger for food anymore. Don't you feel I actually transgressed myself? Quitelah.

So, after we finished our lunch, we went straight away to the ice skating counter to pay for the entrance fee. But do you want to know the most interesting part? We forgot to bring our gloves! Ta-da! Geramnya! Both of us were so regretful of our carelessness. How come we forgot about the most important thing in ice skating; the gloves! And you know what, that was the second time I forgot to bring along my gloves when I knew that I wanted to ice skate and that was also the second time I brought the new gloves for myself. What a waste! If my mother knows this, she could be so furious towards me. So, let's keep it as a secret. He he.

At first I thought if we we want to purchase new gloves, the price would be expensive, say RM 30. But then as we wanted to pay the entrance fee and buy the new gloves, the total fees that the cashier keyed in on the cash register was only RM 23! Okay, that was quite okay for us both. So, we were so relieved. "Alhamdulillah, not that expensive," said Husna and I just smiled. As usual, after paying the the fee, we entered the place and go straught to the shoes counter to get our own skate shoes. The size of Husna's shoes was 37 and mine was 40. What big feet I have! We wore our shoes, tied up our shoelaces tightly and be ready to skate! As we entered the ice court, as we stepped our feet on it, I said to myself, "Here I am! Standing exactly on the smooth surface of ice!"  "Let's start skating!" I shouted silently. Thus, we skated! Yippeee!

We skated... and skated... and skated so happily, so delightfully, so excitedly! Siapa yang tak happy setelah sekian lama tak skate, akhirnya dapat juga diriku skate atas ice tu lagi. He heAnd what made us more exhilarated is that the ice court was not compact with so many people. So, we could skate freely without worrying about crashing or bumping on to other skaters. Well, that was just in the beginning of our skating. As hours passed by, lots and lots of people entered and the ice court was getting more and more  crowded.

To make the story more interesting, as we were skating, Husna and I saw this one guy skated all by himself along the ice court. Seemed he didn't have any friends who skated with him, so we tried to make friends with him. You know, just to add some more friends in our friends list because for me, I think the ice court is not just a place where we can do the skating but it is a social place, whereby we can get to know more and more people, regardless of what religion they are practicing and where they come from, who are physically and mentally different from you. With that you will realize that how much you can learn from them about life. But in our case, we didn't share many things with our new friend. Instead, we just made up a simple conversation with him as he was quite a shy person. We thought that he could be someone who rarely to speak to girls and tell you what, that was our first time of being acquainted to someone who is totally a stranger to us. But for friendship reason, I mustered up my courage to start greet him with a smile. Alhamdulillah, who expects that he would respond to my greetings so well. So, we asked his name, where is he studying and so forth. He introduced himself as Azri and he's doing his diploma in mechanics at Segi College. One thing that made us interested in knowing him is that by looking at the way he skated. He skated like an expert and that made us want to know him because we thought that he could teach us to skate properly but it was just an angan-angan. Lol.

"Selalu main ice skating ke?" I asked him.
"Tak selalulah." He replied.
"Selalu main seorang, ek?"
"Kadang-kadang main dengan kawan tapi hari ni main seorang je."
"Oh..." Husna and I responded.
"Ambil kelas ke? Sebab tengok you main macam terer je."
"Tak adalah. Belajar sendiri je. Tak terer manalah. Biasa je. Tu yang tengok-tengok orang main tu." He smiled.
"Oh, tak apalah. Kami saja je nak kenal dengan you. Okaylah. Gotta skate!" Husna and I continued skating.

All I can say that, Azri was quite friendly sebenarnya but maybe he just didn't know the right way to talk to girls. Tapi, it was okay for us really. It shows that he is actually a good guy and we were glad to know him and befriended him even for only one day. May Allah bless this meeting. In sha Allah.

New acquaintances from IIUM Kuantan!

As we skated around the ice court for many times, we bumped into two Muslims Malay sisters. We stopped skating right behind them. They smiled to us.

"Akak, macam mana nak skate ek? Sukalahlah tengok korang skate." Okay, it seemed like they wanted us to teach them skating but they didn't know that we were also still learning to skate properly ourselves. Lol.
So I said, "Kalau nak pandai skate, kena berani untuk jatuh dan jatuh banyak kali. Ni dah jatuh ke belum?
"Belum lagi." They smiled.
"Haa, make sure lepas ni kena banyak-banyak kali jatuhkan diri ya." I giggled.
"Korang ni dari mana?" asked Husna.
"UIA."
"Course apa?" Husna asked back.
"Saya dentistry. Kawan saya ni ambil pharmacy."
"Wow! Science students. Hebat! I finally exclaimed. I was so proud of knowing new friends from IIUM Kuantan.

Both of the girls named Lin and Piqah and both of them were sweet and cheerful. Hope to see them again in the future. Who knows, maybe during that time we're gonna go ice skating together. Nothing impossible in this world. Right?

Wow, what a long post I wrote. Let's end this ASAP because I need to get home by Zuhur.

What I can conclude from my outing with Husna is that I learned many things and got to know a few new friends which are to me a good sign of being an adult. We should not be shy in making friends with strangers. They are also like us. Together we are human beings and seems we are living in a multi-cultural and social community, it is so important to socialize with many sorts of people. Sometimes we have to get out from the tempurung that we have been living in (what a word). Instead of increasing the number of friends in our friends list, we can also improve our communication skills with people thus it can make us a better communicator.

To conclude, I really enjoyed ice skating with Husna and I really hope that I could get the chance to skate with her again in the future, though she will be graduating soon. But I believe that there will one time which has been set by Allah for me to meet Husna and on that day, we shall skate again and who knows that by that time, we are professional skaters! Yikes! (I really hope it will be a dream comes true)

Okay.

I end this post with alhamdulillah and thanks for reading.

p.s.: Husna, thanks for the sweet moment we created together. I just want to tell you that yesterday was my best day ever since we are best friends. Now, we are expert skaters, though not officially yet. Hehe. I love you with all my heart. Take care sayang!

Why is Islamic Literature is an important course?

Bismillah.

Alhamdulillah. I learned a lot today in both Dr. Mahmoodul. Now, let me just briefly tell you about those things I learned in ISLIT class.

In today class, Dr. Mahmoodul simply gave us a short description about the course. He said that the title of the course is supposed to be Muslim Literature because it is more appropriate to be called that what rather than Islamic Literature? You know why? Because when we say 'Islamic' and since we know that it is obviously an adjective (which describes a noun) it means that the thing must be closely related or connected to the religion of Islam. So, when we say 'Islamic Literature' it simply means that the literature must contain only Islamic ideas or viewpoints.

Other literature which are not Islamic do not belong to the Islamic literature itself although they are all written by Muslim writers. However, it is different when we say 'Muslim literature.' 'Muslim literature' indicates that although the literary works do not (necessarily) contain some of the Islamic values, but as long as it is written by the Muslims, it s considered as Islamic literature. Got it?

Okay, I apologise. I know that my explanations are quite confusing. Actually, this isn't exactly what Dr. Mahmoodul had lectured us. I just paraphrased it but in sha Allah the meanings are still the same. Don't worry. Just bear with me. In sha Allah in the next next posts, when I narrow down all the things that I had leanerd in ISLIT class, I'm sure that you're gonna get a clearer picture about the ISLIT and you yourself might be able to distinguish between Islamic literature and Muslim literature.

Proceed...

Before the lectures started, Dr. Mahmoodul asked us one question.

"If Topics in Islamic Literature is not made compulsory, will take this course?"

(For your information, ISLIT is actually one of the major courses that BENL students must fulfill in order to complete their studies. If not, our graduation certificate will not be complete)

According to the survey, most of said "Yes" instead of "No." Dr. Mahmoodul was quite happy for the responses and he stated that it was a good sign. Honestly, I sort of knew what Dr. Mahmoodul was about to say during that time. Probably he really did want to stress that how much important ISLIT for us to learn. Okay, ISLIT is not just for the BENL students to learn, it's for all. I can say that students from other kuliyyah are also welcomed and so much encouraged to  take this course as their supplement. Why? Because Dr. Mahmoodul said,

"... if we don't appreciate (as in study) the works of the previous Muslim scholars or writers, the next generation will never appreciate ours..."

Well, that's what he said and personally I 100% agree with him. Seriously, ISLIT is not meant for BENL students only, it's for all! Even students from Kuliyyah of Engineering are recommended to explore more about Islamic or Muslim literature in their leisure time rather than spending their 24 hours on the machines. The same goes to Law, ECONS, and students from other kuliyyah as well. I'm saying this because I am a writer and a poet (think so) myself and I want to us to preserve our own literature or poetry.

Aha... another reason why ISLIT is important because poetry (or generally literature) is considered as one of the most powerful weapon for the Muslims, other than prayer (du'a). Why did I say so? Because literature has something to do with our culture and language and I believe that many of us aware that language is a very crucial means of communication of the people in this world. Language in line with literature is so beautiful and it affects us in our everyday lives. Language is so powerful until it could make one's heart turn around from what it is used to be.

One more thing. If you ever read literature and if you notice, when we read a literature (say a poem or a prose), we are sort establishing a bondage or relationship with the authors. This is because literature itself is the product of the author's emotions, ideas, thoughts and feeling about something. So, if we are the kind of people who enjoy reading literature, we are would be aware that the author is actually talking, communicating with us. I feel this every time I read other people's novels and poems. Well, I don't know whether you might feel the same or not. It you wanna know, you should try yourself. Really.

Oh no! It's already 01:17 am! It's getting late and I still don't have the guts to wash my brother's uniform. Frankly speaking, there are lots of things I wanna share with all of you, my blog readers. But I just remember that there are some responsibilities that I still haven;t fulfill for today. Forgive me for updating this blog late. In sha Allah next time I try make it on time.

Whatever it is, just remember Allah in everything you do. In sha Allah, you will gain barakah from Him.

Take care.

See you soon!

p.s.: Tomorrow is a special day! A moment when I would skate with my good buddy on the ice in Sunway Pyramid.  Can't wait for tomorrow! Bismikallahumma amuutu wa ahya...

First day of lectures

Salam to all my blog readers!

Hello my IIUM friends! Yesterday was my first day of lectures. Sorry, I just got the chance to update this blog today because yesterday I was quite busy.

For this semester, since I had only registered for two courses, so I got only four classes a week; every Tuesday and Thursday. So I can say that I have quite a lot of leisure time this semester, but not very a lot. I don't know what I;m talking about now. Haha.

Okay. Let's proceed.

So today I would like to write about what happened on my first day of classes, which was yesterday.

My first class, Topics in Islamic Literature, started yesterday at 10 am. As Dr. Mahmoodul came in, he made an announcement. For your information, I was really enthusiastic to start learning with him again this semester (I had taken 20th Century with him before and now I'm doing other course with him again. So exciting really!).

"Assalamualaikum. We cannot have our class today because my parents got sick and I need to take them to the hospital now..."

Then he told us about his parents coming to Malaysia and he requested them to stay here with him and his family for quite sometimes. But then when they arrived, they fell ill. Poor them. Maybe it is because they still cannot suit themselves with the whether in Malaysia (I think so). So they are like having a "cultural shock" or something.

However, deep in our heart I believe that many of us were actually screaming excitedly about the announcement. Dr. Mahmoodul meant that after he said a few words he would let us go. But he gave us some homework and asked us to bring them in the next class. But the students were still delighted because we were able to leave the class early yesterday.

Seems this is an Islamic Literature class, so Dr. Mahmoodul gave us a task whereby we have to do a small research regarding "literature" itself. I believe he asked us to do this in order for us to get a clear picture about what literature is all about first before he started lecturing us everything about it.

So here are some tasks that he gave us (including the questions that we need to answer):
- What is literature?
- What is the Islamic position of literature? Does Islam allow it or not?
- During the Prophet's time; did he encourage or discourage literature and who are the Muslim poets?
- The Prophet SAW gave his last sermon (farewell speech). In his sermon, what did he say?
- The Prophet SAW wrote some letters to some rulers to invite them to Islam. Find the letters.
- Hassan bin Thabit: Try to find some of his poems (in Arabic or English translation).

Hence, this evening I began doing my Google search. Oh, but before that, I went to the library and searched for the book that Dr. Mahmoodul asked us to search. The book titled, "Muhammad: Man and Prophet" but I was very upset because I didn't find one on the shelves. On the other hand, I found some other books which contained a few letters written by the Prophet SAW to some rulers of the big countries during his time. Without wasting time, I loaned the books and then went to the photocopy shop to photocopy all the letters of the Prophet SAW as Dr. Mahmoodul requested. Alhamdulillah. Thanks to Allah for making things easy for me. I thought I would never meet such books and I was so afraid that how can I possibly face Dr. Mahmoodul in our next class without the tasked being completed. I would be so embarrassed by my own irresponsible act. But, with His help, I had escaped myself from the trouble.

So, I have done with ISLIT homework! Phew! Enough with ISLIT story then. Now I shall proceed with the evening class, which was Pragmatics.

Okay, what about Pragmatics?

Well, our Pragmatics lecturer is best known as Dr. Normala. The first time I saw her talking in front of the class, I blurred. I just didn't know how to describe her and how I felt about her. Simply to put, it was the first time I did not have any impressions about someone during the first time we met like I used to before. Weird, isn't it? But honestly I believe that she is such a loving lecturer, just like my other BENL lecturers; Dr. Zurahani, Dr. Maskanah, Dr. Rozina, etc.

Dr. Normala began our class with a brief introduction about herself and the course. She said that each and everyone of us would be a good communicator after taking Pragmatics with her. Wow, I hope so! When she  briefed us about Pragmatics, all I can say that Pragmatics is just like the other Linguistics courses that we had taken before; Morphology, Phonetics, Introduction to Language, Psycholinguistics, etc. because when I scanned through the textbook, some of the components of the courses that I mentioned above are in there. Most probably, I am going to learn the same things again this semester but still there will be some new things that we will explore in Pragmatics and I just can't wait for it. Yikes!

Oppss! Wait a sec! I'm not finished yet! I got more stories to tell. So stay tuned!

Last night, we held our first meeting of TELESQOP 2. In meeting I just got to know the full name of the abbreviation TELESQOP. Actually, the word stands for Tutoring and Learning the Significance of the Quran. Oh... now I get it! Our new programme manager is Irfan (Head of TNL bureau of QYC) and his assistant is his own assistant in TNL bureau, which is Kak Khaty. This time, in TELESQOP 2, I'm the committee of catering bureau. So I'm going to handle all issues concerning food and drinks for all the participants, VIPs as well as committees. The only sad thing about TELESQOP 2 is that we are lack of committees and facilitators. This is because not many of the QYCians are doing the short semester. Most of them have already started their practical outside. So, it's very difficult for them to join the programme this time. In our discussion last night, we have decided to recruit new committees and facilitators ourselves. This means that we're not going to open booth anymore, instead all we need to do is that is to invite and persuade our own friends to take part in the programme. Hopefully Allah will guide us and help us to accomplish the mission. In sha Allah.

We are coming to the end of the post...

To conclude, I really can't be patient to wait for my next lectures. You know why? Because I had set my goal for the new semester. I want to study hard and study smart for the sake of Allah SWT alone and I want to become successful just like my Muslim icons, Datuk Siti, Dr. Afifi, and Heliza Helmi did. Most importantly, I want to be as successful as my beloved prophet, Prophet Muhammad SAW and his wife, Khadijah. I want to follow the footsteps of all our best khulafa' in leading the ummah towards achieving the blessings of Allah SWT. Hopefully this time I won't fail but if I fail, I will never feel give up to stand up again. In everything we do, we should put our faith in Allah and also in ourselves. Because if people think you can't do it, you are the one who believe that you can do anything because there's no such thing as "impossible" in this world as long as Allah wills.

So, let's be positive, confident and consistent in whatever good deeds we do every day.

All the best!

p.s.: Today. I'm so happy! Thanks to Allah for planning all the good things happened today.

New semester! New mission! New goal!

Bismillah.

Dear readers,
How are you doing? I'm doing fine. Phew! Alhamdulillah, we have come to a new semester of the session 2011/2012, which is the third semester. Okay, this is the second time I'm taking short semester so long I'm studying in IIUM. Before this, my mother told me that IIUM was so quiet with no students "lepaking" at the HS cafe and wandering around. But now, we can see groups of students are walking here and there, looking for their destinations. Not only the new intakes but including the CFS students as well are very busy looking for their classes and stuff. Not to mention the senior students who are still struggling to add some more subjects into their schedule in order to add up their credit hours. Well, they have to because it will be a waste if they only take one course when they got to stay inside the campus for about two months! What do they want to do in such a long period of time with no classes and all? Don't you think so?

Unlike me, I think I'm very fortunate. Okay, let me correct it. Not just me but all my BENL friends are quite fortunate actually because we had been offered many major courses for the third semester. Alhamdulillah. There are about six to seven courses offered by DELL (English Department) for us to register. If you ask me, I registered only two courses for this particular semester; Introduction to Pragmatics and Topics in Islamic Literature. Pragmatics is one of the specialization courses (Linguistics) I'm taking this semester. I'm so grateful that I could register this course for the semester because according to my friend, Iman, Pragmatics is barely offered by DELL for every semester. I'm not sure why but whatever it is I'm so thankful to Allah because if it wasn't for His will and mercy, Iman and I would never get the chance to take this course until the final year (since I'm specializing in Linguistics, it is very crucial to take this course in order to complete my specialization here). So, since it had been offered this semester, we just thought that why couldn't we grab the chance if we still could, right?

So, today I got no class. No at all! So boring. One thing I dislike about short semester is that we only have classes twice a week for each subject (in my case who takes only six credit hours). That's why I like long semester more because everyday we attend lectures and learn new things. But during the short semester, we have so many gaps. What do you think I want to do to fill up all the gaps? Perhaps when the lectures have started, I would know what to do. Wait a minute! I think I forgot something. Hey, I'm still a QYCian, aren't I? Oh, I forgot to tell you that QYC is holding the second TELESQOP this semester. Can't wait for it. Aha! That's what I'm about to tell you. Truthfully, I still can fill up my spare times by involving myself in all programmes organized by the club along the semester. How come I forgot about my beloved club. Forgive me for that. Lol.

However, seems this morning I got no class at all, so I spent my leisure time at SILLC. I'm not so sure whether I spelled the abbreviation correctly or not (excuse me for that) but it is like a mini library in IIUM. But it only provides books regarding languange, mainly Bahasa Melayu, English and also Arabic. To be frank, I always spend my time there learning more about English grammar by myself. Well, that's one of the reasons. Moreover, this is where I do some preparations every time before I start tutoring English to my one and only tutee, Kak Nurlian (IIUM librarian). There, in the mini library, I could find many sources about English which I can refer to. It's pretty exciting. Other than enhancing my English knowledge in order to teach my tutee I can also benefit myself from it. That's why I like teaching profession so much until it has been my ambition to become a teacher or lecturer since I was a little girl. When you learn something in order to teach someone the knowledge, you are also teaching yourself actually. When I teach my tutee English grammar, I understand it better and I can say that my English is improving each day (I think so). To prove, just look at this post. It was written in English, not Malay anymore. Lol. Okay, enough about all the nonsense. Let's move on to the real story.

Dear readers,
It feels so good to see IIUM students back again. I really love this feeling. The noise made by the students in HS cafe makes me feel that IIUM is so alive again. You know what, this is what I have been waiting for during the semester breaks. For those who stay far from Gombak, you will never feel how I felt. I was so unhappy to see IIUM empty with no students (excluding the international students. lol). Only the staffs walking to their offices and go back again to their homes made me feel so melancholic. That shows how much I miss all my IIUM friends. I hope it's not to late for me to say, "WELCOME BACK ALL SENIOR AND NEW-INTAKE STUDENTS OF IIUM TO THE GARDEN OF KNOWLEDGE AND VIRTUE." Don't they sound cool? Okay, forgive me. Seems you can't hear I'm exclaiming, just try to imagine yourself, okay? Lol.

And it would be an honor for me if I can share with you my gratitude to Allah for awarding me such beautiful result for the past final examinations. I never thought that I could get that 'cool' result. For me, I think it is the best result I ever got compared to the previous ones. I know that it isn't due to my efforts alone, but it is actually the product of my parents' and lecturers' prayers and blessings and also my friends' supports. A big "thank you" to all of them. This best result of mine is not merely for me but I consider it as a "gift" to those who never stop cheering me up and those people are the ones who always think that I can do my best in my life. And most important of all, of course, if you don't have a good relationship with you Lord, which Allah SWT, you'll never be on the peak of the success as you wish. So, thank you my Lord for this beautiful gift.

So, my new mission for this new semester is that I want to start study hard and smart. I want to be more serious in my studies. My studies are my priority now and I don't want to mingle with "time wasters" anymore because a new thing I learned from one motivational book that I've read titled Zero to Hero is that time is so precious. It will never wait for us but it us who have to consume it only with beneficial things. To add, my new goal is mardhatillah and His jannah.

May Allah make things easy for me. Insya-Allah.

Okay, finally, psst! Actually, I was supposed to go to the library and do some readings on the academic journals written by the intelligent shcolars and professionals. But I just changed my plan. I'm too lazy to walk there because in half an hour time, I need to pick my brother, Zaim, up from his school. So, I thought it would be lovely if I could share with you some of my thoughts in the beginning of my fifth semester here. At least you will get a clearer picture about the first day of the short semester in IIUM. You agree?

Okay. I think I shall stop now and be ready to fetch Zaim at his school. If I got free time, I'll consistently update my blog with more interesting stories throughout the semester with you guys.

So long.

Let's start our days with bismillahirrahmanirrahim...

^_^
